Harold Reitz
Harold Reitz, age 63, of Portland passed away Friday at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
He was born in Portland on Nov. 2, 1955, the son of Paul and Mildred (King) Reitz. He was married June 22, 2003, to Phyllis Crouch and she passed away on Nov. 19, 2011.
He had worked as a tow motor operator at Teledyne Portland Forge. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a 1974 Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are two sons, Eric Reitz of Albany and Matt Reitz of Albany; one daughter, Amy Reitz of Portland; two brothers, Alan Reitz (wife: Nancy) of Portland and Mark Reitz (wife: Brenda) of Greenville; three sisters, Evelyn Zearbaugh (husband: Jerry) of Portland, Rosie Schumann (husband: Denny) of New Haven and Diane Villhard (husband: Vic) of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren, Nicolas and Janice.
He was preceded in death by a brother John and his companions Missy and Molly.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Eads presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
