Seniors, get ready to craft.
Swiss Village’s Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion will host a holiday craft for those 55 and older at 2 p.m. Friday.
The class is limited to 20 attendees, and the cost will be $10. Those who are interested must sign up by calling (260) 589-4496.
Secret helpers
Secret Families Christmas Charity of Jay County will hold its annual event on Dec. 8.
In preparation for the event, during which volunteers deliver Christmas gifts to local families, the organization is looking for donations and volunteers.
Those interested in donating money can do so by mailing checks to Secret Families Christmas Charity, P.O. Box 4, Dunkirk, IN 47336. Volunteers can help shop at Walmart in Portland beginning at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 8, wrap gifts at Jay County High School at 8:30 a.m. or make deliveries beginning at 10 a.m.

Help available
LifeStream, Recovery Works and other organizations are partnering to offer medication lunch and learn sessions to offer information about medication management and disposal, community resources, veterans programs and state assistance. The events are free and open to the public and are recommended to older adults, health care providers, counselors and law enforcement officers.
All sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon. The session in Jay County is scheduled for Wednesday at Holiday Inn, 100 Holiday Drive, Portland.
