Bud LeFevre
Henry F. “Bud” LeFevre, age 81, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on Nov. 14, 2018, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born Oct. 23, 1937, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Henry P. and Agnes B. (Steinbrunner) LeFevre.
Surviving are his siblings, Phil (Pat) LeFevre of St. Louis, Missouri, Kathleen Bohman of Minster, Ohio, Joe LeFevre of New Orleans, Louisiana, Cy (Helen) LeFevre of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Larry (Kathy) LeFevre of Troy, Ohio, and Marg (Dave) Brunswick of St. Henry, Ohio; and 17 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Daniel Bohman; a sister-in-law, Theresa LeFevre; one nephew; and one niece.
Bud was a 1955 graduate of St. Henry High School and received a bachelor of science degree from St. Marys College, Perryville, Missouri. He went on to obtain his master’s degree and doctorate of chemistry from Catholic University, Washington, D.C.
After college, Bud worked in the research department at the National Institute of Mental Health, Washington, D.C., for several years. He returned home and did research and consultation for Fort Recovery Equipment and JR Manufacturing, both of Fort Recovery.
Bud enjoyed taking care of his large orchard and farm. His favorite pastime was showing and teaching others about the manufacturing arts. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, with Fr. Matthew Feist officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Sanderell Hall, St. Joe.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be directed to the Henry P. and Agnes B. LeFevre Scholarship Fund c/o the Fort Recovery Community Foundation.
Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, is in charge of arrangements.
