Kay Weesner
Kay Louise Weesner, 75, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1943, in Portland, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Pauline (Mott) Hines. She married Gerry Weesner on July 9, 1994, in the Leo United Methodist Church.
Surviving are:
Her husband — The Rev. Gerry Weesner, Grabill, Indiana
Her children — Jo (Ron) Bennett, Churubusco, Indiana, Gretchen (Lalo) Weesner Aguilar, Shanghai, China, and Karen (Gale) Smith
One sister — Suzy Satterlee, Chicago, Illinois
Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Don (Norma) Hines; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen (George) Babou; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Satterlee.
She worked as a stock clerk for Magnavox for 30 years, loved doing crafts, taking care of her cats and listening to Elvis music. She was a diligent member of Curves and loved performing as “Sweet Tater” in the High Hopes Clowns. She was a member of the Leo U. M. Church and assisted her husband with pastoral at Spencerville, Altarstar and Maples United Methodist churches.
Calling will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Leo United Methodist Church, 13527 Leo Road, Leo, Indiana. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior at the church. Chaplain Jon Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
