Marjorie Davidson
Marjorie Davidson, age 94, of Portland passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, at IU Health Jay.
She was born in Randolph County on Jan. 13, 1924, the daughter of Walter and Ocie (Nixon) Whitenack. She was married June 5, 1943, to Victor
Davidson and he died Aug. 8, 2001. She was a homemaker and beautician.
She attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Deerfield and Amber’s Beauty School. She was a member of Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association and Jay County Extension Club-Green Township.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Davidson (wife: Libby) of Portland, William Davidson (wife: Virginia) of Angola and Randy Davidson (wife: Rhonda) of Pennville; one daughter, Sherry Michaels (husband: Dwain) of Greenfield; one brother, Leland Whitenack (wife: Charlene) of Ridgeville; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren
A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastors Darrell Borders and Paul Van Cise presiding. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
