Richard Hatzell
Richard A. Hatzell, 65, of Redkey, Indiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, while in the company of family members at his residence.
Richard was born in Portland, Indiana, on Jan. 4, 1953, a son of the late Beverly Jean (Shirley) and Richard E. Hatzell. He was a graduate of Redkey High School and worked as a brick mason through the BAC Local 4 Indiana Kentucky Union.
Richard was the loving husband of Carol (Pinkston) Hatzell, who he happily married on Aug. 9, 2007.
Richard loved fishing, hunting, laying brick, watching sports on T.V. and trips to the lake house.
Richard is survived by his wife Carol; a son, Cody Hatzell (wife: Tiffney); two sisters, Cindy and Julie; a stepdaughter, Teletha Roach-May; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Christopher Hatzell and Heather Louck.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 4 p.m. at Moose Lodge 1352 Dunkirk, Indiana, with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
