Cruise-in is set for Saturday

Get ready to cruise.

Fort Recovery Car Club will host a cruise-in from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday in downtown Fort Recovery.

The event is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles. Awards and dash plaques will be presented in a variety of categories.

Drives scheduled

The Red Cross will host blood drives in connection with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Drives are scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at South Adams Senior Center, 825 Hendrick St., Berne, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Portland Fire Department, 1616 N. Franklin St.

Annual meeting

Arts Place will hold its annual business meeting at 5:15 p.m. Saturday at the Portland Center, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.

The meeting will include reports on the last year and election of new directors. 

Offering support

The League for the Blind and Disabled will offer a visual impairment support group beginning this month at Swiss Village Retirement Community.

Fred Fulkerson of the League for the Blind and Disabled will lead the sessions.

Meetings are scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 13.
