Ray Litmer
Ray Litmer, age 59, a resident of Portland, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis from injuries sustained in a car accident on Oct. 1, 2018, in Jay County.
Ray was born on Jan. 16, 1959, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Eugene and Rosemary (Link) Litmer. He graduated from St. Henry (Ohio) High School in 1978 and worked for Cooper Farms in St. Henry, Ohio. He married Jody Thomas on Nov. 3, 1984.

His wife of 33 years — Jody Litmer, Portland, Indiana
One son — Bradley Litmer (wife: Janel), Dunkirk, Indiana
Two daughters — Amanda Cox (husband: Corey), Portland, Indiana, and Tyra Litmer, Portland, Indiana
Two sisters — May Jackson (husband: David), Celina, Ohio, and Maryjane Schumard, Hamilton, Ohio
Three brothers — David Litmer (wife: Pat), Burkettsville, Ohio, Mike Farmer, Celina, Ohio, and Fred Schumard, Texas
Five granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank their niece Megan Diehel for all of her support.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Lee Genter will officiate and burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards the Redkey Volunteer Fire Department.
