Peggy Bumbalough
Peggy J. Bumbalough, 75, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, while in the company of family members.
Peggy was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio, on March 9, 1943, a daughter of Eunice (Waindt) and the late Francis Cross. Peggy was a 1961 graduate of Newcomerstown High School and retired from Kerr Glass/ St. Gobain Containers in 2011 with more than 43 years of service.
She was the wife of Robert L. Bumbalough, who she happily married on Aug. 16, 1973.
Peggy loved BINGO, gambling, traveling, word puzzles, watching the Hallmark Channel, listening to The Gaithers and Blue Grass music, visiting nursing home residents, spending time with her family, her cat Tom Garfield and watching her husband Bob play the guitar.
Peggy is survived by her mother Eunice Cross; husband Bob; three sons, Dickie Fogle (wife: Diane), Bobby Joe Bumbalough and Randy Bumbalough; five daughters, Sherry Sue Bumbalough, Wanda Darr, Donna Dovenbarger (husband: Robert), Brenda Darr and Bobbie “Scooter” Bumbalough; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father Francis Cross; two grandchildren, Jonathan Paul Darr and Tracy Lynn Fogle; and two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Paige Fogle and Derek Matthew Brenner.
Friends are invited to call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries – Dunkirk Chapel. Friends may also call Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, from 11 a.m. to noon at MJS Mortuaries – Dunkirk Chapel. Funeral services will follow at noon with Br. Marion Donathan officiating. Burial will be held in Dunkirk IOOF Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Dunkirk Chapel.
