Gladys Overla

Gladys Juanita Overla, 84, of Hartford City, Indiana, formerly of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2018, at Bridgewater Centre of Hartford City, Indiana.

She was born July 21, 1934, in Dunkirk, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Dora Edith (Kingen) Overla.

Gladys had worked in the packing room of Armstrong Cork of Dunkirk, Indiana. She enjoyed spending her leisure time reading and taking walks outdoors.

She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Madonna Gutshall of Dunkirk, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Claude Overla; and three sisters, Dorothy Maple, Ester Gillum and Edna Grogg.

A private graveside service to celebrate Gladys’ life will be at a later date. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery of Muncie, Indiana.
