Doris Wagner

Doris J. Wagner, age 94, a resident of Portland, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Miller’s Marry Manor in Dunkirk.

Doris was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Hartford City, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Kravis) Jones. She worked Bubp’s Footcare in Portland and enjoyed working flea markets for many years. 

Doris married James P. Wagner on Feb. 7, 1942. James passed away March 25, 1991.

Survivors include:

Two sons — James A. Wagner,  Portland, Indiana, and John Wagner, Portland, Indiana 

Son-in-law —  Jess Hamond, Woodstock, Georgia

Eight grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jayne Hammond, and a sister, Lottie Atkinson.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 201,8 at John Wagner’s home, 525 E. Water St., Portland beginning at noon. 

Arrangements are being  handled by Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home.
