Garry Weaver

Garry L. Weaver Sr. age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 1:18 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.

Garry was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Robert and Doris (Riggs) Weaver. In addition to his parents, Garry was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Richardson.

Garry is survived by his wife, Sue (Haworth) Weaver whom he married June 14, 1964; son and daughter-in-law Garry L. and Danielle Weaver Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren Kelsey Weaver of Key West, Florida, and Zach Weaver of Washington, D.C.; brother Daniel Weaver of Boonville, North Carolina; brother-in-law Ronald Richardson of Greenville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jo  and Robert Nixon of Versailles, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Garry served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Coca-Cola with 30 years of service and was a truck driver for Bohman Trucking in Russia.

Garry was a member of the Coletown Congregational Christian Church and the Greenville Fraternal Order of Eagles.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. Full military honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care.
