Jack Fraga
Jack L. Fraga, Sr., 83, of Pennville, Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, peacefully, while in the company of friends and family members at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana.
Jack was born in Whipple, West Virginia on Aug. 10, 1935, a son of the late Annie (Peppard) and Thomas Fraga.
Jack worked for Joyce Dayton Corp. in Portland, Indiana, and Sheller Globe in Montpellier, Indiana.
He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth Joan (Shatto) Fraga, who he happily married on June 5, 1959.
He was a life member of First Community Baptist Church of Redkey, Indiana. He was an ordained deacon from 1980 until his recent passing and served on several boards and committees throughout his service. Jack enjoyed working in his workshop, watching Gunsmoke and westerns, listening to southern gospel music, the Chicago Bears, and most importantly, reading his Bible.
Jack is survived by his son Jack L. Fraga Jr.; two sisters, Nora Brown (husband: Joe) of West Milton, Ohio, and Lila Bowden of Longview, Texas; six nieces, Vera Lynn Pratt of Shady Springs, West Virginia, Kim Hicks Graham of Tyler, Texas, Rebecca Dillon of Selma, Indiana, Tina Reigle (husband: David) of Yorktown, Indiana, Wanda Jean Harmon Riser (husband: Tom) of Hopewell, Virginia, and Lelita Stamper of Yorktown, Indiana; and three nephews, Thomas Patrick Fraga (wife: Theta) of Hamilton, Ohio, Daniel Fraga (wife: Electa) of Windsor, Indiana, and John Michael Zelek of West Virginia; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his church family at First Community Baptist Church of Redkey, Indiana.
Jack was preceded in death by two sisters, Lelita Green and Stella Zelek; and one brother, Thomas (Tommy) Fraga.
Friends are invited to call Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Br. Everett Bilbrey Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Pennville IOOF Cemetery in Pennville, Indiana.
Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
