Larry Keith Stoner, 81, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Portland, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Wilbur and Helen Locker Stoner. He and Ethel Uhrich were married June 27, 1959, in Salamonia, Indiana.
Larry graduated from Portland High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He retired after 33 years from Acme Die Casting at the Northbrook, Illinois, facility.
Loving survivors include his wife Ethel; three sons, Michael Stoner of Libertyville, Illinois, Jeff Stoner of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Kevin Stoner; and a sister, Kay Gleeson.
He was preceded by his parents Wilbur and Helen Stoner; his paternal grandparents Clarence Melvin and Erma Stoner; and his maternal grandparents Jesse and Cora Locker.
A celebration of life was held in Cape Girardeau on April 2, 2019.
Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, Missouri.
