The model cars are coming back.
The fifth annual Shutterbug Scale Model Show and Picture Car Show is scheduled for Saturday at Jay County Fairgrounds.
The event features scale model cars of all varieties. Registration will run from 9 a.m. to noon with awards scheduled for 4 p.m.

Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition and A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope are partnering on “Connecting the Links” at 6 p.m. April 28 in the Jay County High School auditorium.
This year’s event will feature a “video-driven concert experience” with a focus on telling the story of the country’s opioid epidemic. It was put together by Jay County High School graduates Eric Maitlen and Aric Hartvig.
Connecting the Links has a goal of bringing together those who are working to combat the opioid problem in the Jay County community.

Hosting academy
Indiana Wesleyan University will host its Wildcat Summer Academy June 23 through 28.
The camps include a variety of options, including new offerings in science and songwriting this year. Camp topics include art, business innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership and life calling, nursing, science, music, theatre and writing.
The base fee for the academy is $375.
