Phyllis Hungerford

Phyllis Eileen Hungerford, age 85, of Portland passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Signature Healthcare in Muncie.

She was born July 25, 1933, in West Milton, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mable (White) Fox. She was married to Philip Hungerford who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and worked at Jay County Public Library.

Surviving are one son, Jon P. Hollopeter of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Jon P. Hollopeter Jr. and Jeremy W. (wife: Melany) Hollopeter; five great-grandchildren Jade, Ashley, Alyssa, Megan and Jacob; and two great-great-grandchildren, Payten and Emmery.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff A. Hollopeter; his father Paul F. Hollopeter; and husband Philip Hungerford.

There will be no services per her request. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to choice of the donor.
