McCallister honored for his service
A Jay County High School graduate received a military honor last month.
Toby McCallister, a 2014 JCHS graduate, received a coin from Gen. Joseph Votel in Iraq.
McCallister was honored for his work and initiative in supporting Joint Operations Command-Iraq. He serves as an intelligence analyst from Intelligence Collection Platoon, 326 Brigade Engineer Battalion.
Offering express
Ivy Tech Community College will hold express enrollment from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, as well as April 18 and 25. There will also be a session from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 29.
The sessions will be held at the Muncie campus, 4301 S. Cowan Road.
Students attending will receive assistance with applying for admission, orientation, financial aid, scheduling and registering.
Stopping scams
Adams County Sheriff Dan Mawhorr will host the presentation “Senior Scams, Safety and File of Life” at 1 p.m. Monday at Swiss Village, 1350 W. Main St., Berne.

Honor Flight Northeast Indiana, which provides free flights for veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit war memorials, recently launched an online application.
Those who have served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War are encouraged to apply to participate in the program. Go to hfnei.org/application-apply to submit an online application.
