Art exhibit begins Friday

A new exhibit will go on display Friday.

Arts Place will host the exhibit “Hibridity” by Rob Mendez beginning Friday and running through May 19.

Mendez is a professor of art at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. He holds a master’s degree in sculpture from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.



Seeking nominees

The Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame is seeking nominees for this year’s class.

In order to be eligible, an individual must have been born in Indiana, entered military service in Indiana or lived in Indiana for a minimum of eight years.

Offering program

Swiss Village will offer its Summer Junior Volunteer Program this year.

The program places students ages 10 and older in volunteer positions at Swiss Village, Kinder Haus or Muselman Wellness Pavilion. It runs May 28 through Aug. 9.
