Students across the state will have the chance to learn about their community college options.
Ivy Tech Community College will host College 101 Night at facilities around the state from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
High school students and their parents are invited to speak to Ivy Tech representatives about financial aid, choosing a major and enrollment. Other topics will include certificate programs, tuition and transfer options.
The event is free and open to all high school students. Ivy Tech campuses in Muncie, Anderson, Marion, Fort Wayne and Richmond are all participating.

Honored
The University of Northwestern Ohio’s College of Applied Technologies recognized several area students for their grade point averages during this year’s February session.
Students on the dean’s list from Fort Recovery were Dustin Alig, Christopher Link and Isaac Wenning. John Crosbie, Pennville, was also on the list.
The full-time students earned GPAs of 3.5 or higher.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie will host an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. May 2 for the exhibit “Movement in Nature” by Kimberley True.
True’s art is rooted in her fascination with the movement of nature. She is a Muncie native.
The exhibit will be on display throughout May.

Planetarium hosts
Charles W. Brown Planetarium in the Cooper Science Building at Ball State University is preparing for its final programs of the year.
The facility will host “Black Holes, Wormholes and the Movies” at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Friday and April 26.
