DAYTON, Ohio — Ryan Weathers tossed another gem and the Fort Wayne TinCap offense was hot on Tuesday in an 8-4 win over the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds) at Fifth Third Field.
Weathers (2-0), the No. 10 overall prospect in the San Diego Padres’ system, scattered six hits in 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball. He struck out five and issued two walks for the TinCaps (8-5).
Offensively, Luiz Almanzar hit his third homer of the season, a solo shot in the fourth inning, and Blake Hunt hit his first round-tripper, a two-run blast in the third.
