Reader is still seeking the truth
To the editor:
I found this story on the internet the other day and found it interesting.
According to the aforementioned story, an archaeological team is excavating a historical site in Jamestown, Virginia. The team apparently has uncovered a manuscript written by a Native American.
In the manuscript, the writer expressed some trepidation over the number of white people who, in his opinion, were invading the country. Their anxiety lie in the possibility that some of them were reported to be gang members, rapist and drug dealers, although they did express the certainty that some of them were good people. The writer stated with all sincerity that they simply wanted to take their country back and make America great again.
The archaeologist at the site expressed some skepticism over the origin of the manuscript and offered alternative facts as to the author's intent. The writer of the manuscript mentioned the possible involvement of the French in, to use their words, "this flood of white people coming in.”
The writer however, expressed doubt as to why the French would do such a thing. Personally, I strongly suspect this was "fake news" of the time.
