Church starts group of seniors
A new group is available for senior citizens.
South Side Church of Christ has started “Keen Agers,” a group focused on fellowship, service and outreach.
The new group’s first meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 20 at Southside Church of Christ, 1209 S. Shank St., Portland. There will be singing, a short Bible study and prayer, with Kimbra Chenoweth-O’Brien of Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition as the guest speaker.
The group is open to any senior citizen and is not limited to church members.
Drive set
There will be a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant Wesleyan Church at 209 S. Hendricks St., Bryant.

Concert set
Pantasia will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Swiss Village in Berne.
The group, Findlay High School’s steelband, was launched in 1997. It performs more than 40 times per year. For more information, visit swissvillage.org.
To open
Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ new Muncie Altrusa Foundation Beulah Frogge Digital Arts Studio will have its grand opening Aug. 24 with a stop-motion workshop led by Disney artist and animator Brad Condie.
There will be a session from 1 to 3 p.m. for 8- to 11-year-olds and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for 12- to 15-year-olds. All attendees will participate in creating a short film.
