Judy Redwine

Judy Redwine, age 73, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at Indiana University Health Jay Hospital in Portland.
Judy was born on Dec. 20, 1945, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Claude and Cleta (Caldwell) Rector. She worked for Createc in Portland, Jay-Randolph Developmental Services in Portland and Jay School Corporation.
Judy was a member of Collett Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer for over 20 years for Jay County Special Olympics.
Judy married John Redwine Jr. on Oct. 9, 1982, and he passed away on Nov. 30, 2018.
Survivors include:
Two sons — Rob Bowen, Dunkirk, Indiana, and John Redwine III (wife: Glenna) – Muncie, Indiana
Two daughters — Lisa Bowen, Portland, Indiana, and Tanya Bennett (husband: Wes), Noblesville, Indiana
Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, including Hayden Hale.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marisa Kimble, and a daughter-in-law, Leanne Bowen.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Billy Stanton will officiate the services and burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be directed to Jay County Special Olympics.
