Bessie Alice Bollinger, 81, of Bryant, Indiana, passed away at 12:32 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at Adams Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur, Indiana.
She was born on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1938, in Jay County, Indiana. She had lived her whole life in Jay and Adams counties.
She married Richard L. Bollinger on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1969, in Geneva, Indiana.; he preceded her in death on June 15, 2010.
Bessie was a 1956 graduate of Bryant High School. She was a member of the Bryant Wesleyan Church where she was the longest attendee of the church. Bessie worked at the Lehman Veterinary Clinic, and also at Swiss Village.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Hope Rene Louck Snyder, North Port, Florida; sons Rick Bollinger, Bryant, Indiana, and Chad Bollinger, Berne, Indiana; and grandchildren Alexis Snyder, North Port, Florida, Amanda Lasater Dorsey, Dallas, Texas, and Andrew Lasater, Big Springs, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Samuel Garringer; mother Lelia (Tucker) Garinger; husband, Richard L. Bollinger; daughter Geri Sue Louck Lasater; and sister Hazel Nadine Garringer Crouse.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Bryant Wesleyan Church 209 S. Hendricks St., Bryant, on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A service to celebrate her life will follow at Bryant Wesleyan Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, with Pastor Paul VanCise officiating. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be sent to Bryant Wesleyan Church Honduras Trip Fund, 209 S. Hendricks St., Bryant, IN 47326.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
