Donna Moden

Donna Jeanne (Grapner) Moden, age 81, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at State of the Heart Care in Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
She was born on June 14, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Lloyd M. and M. Margaret (Tucker) Grapner. On June 12, 1957, she married Don Moden, who died Dec. 18.
Donna is also survived by her three children, Mark Alan (Kim) Moden of St. Marys, Ohio, Richard Eugene (Jennifer) Moden of Coshocton, Ohio, and Rebecca Sue (Terry) Roberts of Ridgeville, Indiana; Six grandchildren, Trevor Moden, Dalton Moden, Konnor Moden, Jeff Roberts, Erika Roberts-Beitler and Mitchel Roberts; four great-grandchildren, Keaten Roberts, Kaylyn Roberts, Zavier Roberts and Adalyn Moden; one sister, Imogene Lawhead, Portland, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Grapner of Portland and Norma Moden of Celina; two brothers-in-law, Bill (Martha) Moden of Oak Grove, Louisiana, and Delbert Tangeman of Ducan, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Julie Ann Moden, brother Ralph Lewis Grapner, brothers-in-law; Tom Lawhead, Richard (Rosalie) Moden and her sister-in-law Betty Tangeman.
Donna graduated from Celina High School and was a cook and housekeeper for the Briarwood Manor in Coldwater, Ohio, until she retired in 2007.
Donna was a member of the former Montezuma Church of Christ in Montezuma. She was very active in her church, where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Triangle Guild. She attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina.
A combined funeral service for Donna and Donald will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina with the Rev. Lowell Roberts and Cliff Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, at the funeral Home and an hour before services on Monday.
