Phillip Hayden

Phillip E. Hayden, age 62, a resident of rural Portland, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was a self-employed truck driver and enjoyed fishing, camping and his dog, Lady. 

Phillip Hayden was born May 24, 1957, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Robert and Patty (Hickey) Hayden. 

Survivors include:

Three sisters — Georgia Brosher (husband: Tom), Dunkirk, Indiana, Pamela Hiestand (husband: Jesse), Auburn, Indiana, and Connie Mock, Portland, Indiana

One brother — Donald Hayden (wife: Vicki), Fort Wayne, Indiana

Special friend — Mary Alice Wade, Albany, Indiana

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. 

The family requests memorials be directed to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
