A program aimed at improving family relationships is starting this month in Portland.
Purdue Cooperative Extension Services and Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition will host the Strengthening Families Program for families with children between the ages of 10 and 14 years old. The seven-week program will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays starting Feb. 11 at Trinity United Methodist, 323 S. Meridian St. Each week will feature group sessions on topics such as following rules, encouraging positive behavior and protecting youth.
The class is free but registration by Feb. 7 is required by calling (260) 726-4707 or emailing [email protected].
