The Patriot seniors went out with a win.
Jay County High School’s gymnastics team defeated Huntington North 98.65-94.625 on Thursday in the final home meet for three seniors.
Karlie Bullard, a senior, won the all-around competition with her score of 34.1. She also had the top score on floor exercise (9.3), was second on uneven bars (7.925) and placed third on vault (8.525) and balance beam (8.35).
Sophomore Kenzie Ring had the top spot on bars with a score of 8.075. She was also second on vault (8.6) and beam (8.425) while finishing third on floor (8.975). Her all-around total of 34.075 was second to Bullard.
Riley Leavell, a senior, was fourth on both vault (8.375)?and bars (7.4), while finishing fifth on floor (7.675)?and in the all-around (30.5).
Classmate Randi Ferguson placed sixth on floor with 7.675.

ST. HENRY, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s girls basketball team had its three-game winning streak end on Thursday with a 38-33 setback to the St.?Henry Redskins.
The Indians (9-10, 2-6 Midwest?Athletic Conference) fell behind 7-4 after the first quarter but made it a two-point game at half, 19-17.
The margin stayed the same with one quarter to play as each team tallied 10 points in the third period, and the Redskins (12-7, 5-3 MAC)?were able to keep separation in the final eight minutes.
Alli Vaughn had a career-high 20 points for the Indians, who also got five points from both Val Muhlenkamp and Paige Fortkamp.
Fort Recovery’s junior varsity team won, 46-28. Hope Wendel led the way with 12 points, while Macy Day and Faith Grube contributed eight and seven points, respectively.
Boys place fourth
OSSIAN — Jay County Middle School’s boys swim team came in fourth on Thursday in the Norwell Invitational.
The host Knights won with a score of 439, and Indian Springs was the runner-up at 228 points. Bluffton (207)?and Jay County (182)?were third and fourth, respectively.
Josh Monroe had the best individual finish as he was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke. He was also fifth in the 50 butterfly.
Wyatt Kunkler was fifth in the 400 freestyle and eighth in the 100 individual medley. Nick Lyons placed sixth in the 100 backstroke and ninth in the 50 butterfly.
Luke Vormohr, Cohen Henry, Timo Minnich, Joseph Dow and Luke Muhlenkamp also scored points.
Tribe reaches title
COLDWATER, Ohio — Fort Recovery Middle School’s seventh grade girls basketball team advanced to the Midwest Athletic Conference tournament championship with a semifinal win over Coldwater on?Thursday, 20-18.
The Indians, who are the seventh seed, will host No. 5 seed New Bremen in the championship game at 9 a.m.?Saturday.
Mara Pearson led FRMS?with seven points, and Cali Wendel scored all of her six points in the fourth quarter. Kensey Gaerke added three points, and Saige Leuthold had two points.
