Patriot musicians will take their audience on a trip from 19th-century France to New York to the Windy City.
Jay County High School Patriot Band will have its Mid-Winter Pops Concert at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the school’s auditorium.
The band will play a variety of music, including songs from musicals “West Side Story” and “Les Misérables” and the rock group Chicago.
Admission is free. The high school is located at 2072 W. Indiana 67, Portland.
Learn about Ivy
Ivy Tech Community College will hold a Go Ivy Day event this month.
The events are designed for prospective students to learn more about Ivy Tech. Topics will including admissions, financial aid, orientation and career services.
The event is slated for 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 20 at Kennedy Library, 1700 W. McGalliard Road, Muncie.

Mercer Health in Coldwater, Ohio, is several classes in March.
On March 5, there will be a big brother/big sister class at 7 p.m. Childbirth education classes are scheduled for 6 p.m. March 6, 13, and 20, and a breastfeeding class will be held at 6 p.m. March 7.
Hosting drives
The first is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. Feb 19 at Redkey Elementary School 500 W. Main St., Redkey. On Feb. 20, there will be a drive from 2 to 7 p.m. at General Shanks Elementary School, 414 E. Floral Ave., Portland. A drive is scheduled for 2 to 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Bloomfield Elementary School, 350 E. 500 North, Bryant.

Jay County Public Library is celebrating “Love Your Library” month with a variety of activities, including a “crafternoon” Feb. 14
There will also be family trivia Feb. 15, a craft event Feb. 23 and a breakout game Feb. 27.
Patrons can also vote on which new feature — a mobile charging station, a collection of outdoor games for borrowing or child-sized furniture for the children’s area — should be added at the facility.
