Benefit event set for Friday
To the editor:
The fourth benefit in memory of Mandy Theurer, who passed away in an auto accident, will be held at the Jay Community Center on Friday, Feb. 15, with a meal and an auction.
The “no ticket needed” meal consists of soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks being served from 5 to 7 p.m., with the cost being that of a donation.
Yes, a donation.
A bounce house provided by Tony Lennartz will available for the children to enjoy. An auction of items donated by individuals and businesses, conducted by Loy's Auctioneering, will begin at approximately 7 p.m. One hundred percent of the money raised will be given back to the community by supporting the Jay County Walk Against Cancer and high school scholarships, and providing hygiene bags (Mandy Bags) to middle school students and the list goes on.
We look forward to the stories, the laughter, and even the tears on this night of remembering and carrying on the loving, caring, and giving spirit of Mandy.
Thank you,
Charlene and Roger Theurer
