Jay roundup begins April 2

Jay School Corporation has announced its kindergarten roundup schedule.

Kindergarten enrollment will be held April 2 at Bloomfield Elementary School, April 3 at Redkey and Westlawn, and April 4 at East. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m.

Students are welcome to attend the events at Bloomfield, Redkey and Westlawn and participate in a separate program while their parents are handling enrollment. Because of the number of students expected, parents are asked not to bring children to the enrollment session at East.



On the list

Lauren Bruns of Fort Recovery was named to the University of Findlay dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester.

To earn the honor, a student must have at least at 3.5 grade point average.



Classes available

Mercer Health in Coldwater, Ohio, is several classes in March.

On March 5, there will be a big brother/big sister class at 7 p.m. Childbirth education classes are scheduled for 6 p.m. March 6, 13, and 20, and a breastfeeding class will be held at 6 p.m. March 7.



JCPL hosting

Jay County Public Library is continuing to celebrate “Love Your Library.

Activities include a craft event Saturday and a breakout game Wednesday.

Patrons can also vote on which new feature — a mobile charging station, a collection of outdoor games for borrowing or child-sized furniture for the children’s area — should be added at the facility.
