An opportunity is available to honor someone who has been dedicated to volunteering in their community.
The Portland Foundation is accepting nominees for its Jack Cole Award for Volunteerism.
The award was established more than two decades ago in order to honor Cole’s work as the foundation’s first executive director. Nominations should include a letter of recommendation as well as the nominee’s name, address and a summary of his or her background. They can be sent to the foundation office at 107 S. Meridian St., Portland.
The winner will receive a plaque and cash award at The Portland Foundation’s annual meeting on May 15.
The deadline for nominations is March 21.
