Sharon Crawford

Sharon Louise Crawford, 78, passed away at 7:08 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 7, 1940, in Portland to Orville Raymond Bailey and Helen Ann Louise (Lanning) Bailey. Both of her parents preceded her in death.

She married Robert “Bob” Eugene Crawford on Oct. 26, 1974, in Hartford City by the Rev. Robert Neel. Bob preceded her in death on April 11, 2007.

Sharon belonged to Women Moose Lodge in Gas City. She was the Past Regent of Hartford City Women of the Moose. She was also a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post #23 and the Moyer-Pooler American Legion Auxiliary, where she was the Auxiliary President.

She was a waitress, homemaker, mother and wife. Sharon was an avid bingo player and enjoyed doing word search books.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Katherine “Kathy” L. (husband: Vince) Brown of Hartford City, Charlene B. (husband: Gene) Henderson of Hartford City, Raymond Thomas “Tommy” Kreischer of Hartford City and Ronald E. “Ronnie” Kreischer of Hartford City; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Kreischer, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High Street, Hartford City, Indiana, with Pastor Troy Kauffman officiating.

Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, and 10 a.m. till the time of the service Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Keplinger Funeral Home.
