Arvin Brown
Arvin Leslie Brown, 81, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ridgeville, Indiana, on Aug. 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Everett and Devona Irene Brown.
Arvin enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards. He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges in Dunkirk, Eagles in Portland and VFW in Fort Recovery, Ohio.
He retired from Ross Mold in 1996.
He and his wife, Phyllis J. (Bailey) Brown celebrated 62 years of marriage on Dec. 28, 2018.
Arvin leaves to cherish his memory his wife; two daughters, Juanita Clark of Hartford City and Nadine Brown of Dunkirk; two sons, Jim Brown and Paul Brown of Dunkirk; two brothers, Robert Brown (Shirlene) of Union City and Ronald Brown (Shelby) of Arrowhead, Oklahoma; one sister, Karen Foltz (Don) of Plano, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Rhett Colin Brown.
Per Arvin’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service or visiting hours. Cremation was chosen and will be arranged by Dunkirk Memorial Chapel; burial will be at Bluff Point Cemetery at a later date.
