BSU is holding an info session
Those interested in continuing their education in the field of social work will have an opportunity to gather more information Thursday.
Ball State University will host a free information session about its new master of social work program at 5:30 p.m. in room 303 of L.A. Pittenger Student Center.
The BSU program focuses on clinical management of addictions, supporting the elderly and managing optimal health with a focus on rural communities.
Those interested in attending must register at bsu.edu/gradschool.
Library hosting
Jay County Public Library is hosting several events Thursday, including a job search and resume workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Work One will lead the event.
The library will also have a “crafternoon” event from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Adults and teens will be able to make stamped metal necklaces and bracelets.
And at 3:30 p.m. there will be a showing of the movie “The House with a Clock in Its Walls.” Popcorn will be provided. Children younger than 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
Extended hours
Adams Public Library will be expanding the hours at its Geneva branch starting this month.
The library will have earlier opening times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with extended hours on Thursday nights. The new hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. It is located at 305 E. Line St., Geneva.
