It’s time for some fun.
Jay Community Center will host its annual Family Fun Night at 6 p.m. Jan. 25 at the facility at 115 E. Water St., Portland.
The event will feature a comedy show as the main entertainment. There will also be free pizza, and the concession stand will be open for other purchases.
Admission to Family Fun Night is free with a non-perishable food item as a donation.

Extended hours
Adams Public Library will be expanding the hours at its Geneva branch starting this month.
The library will have earlier opening times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with extended hours on Thursday nights. The new hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. It is located at 305 E. Line St., Geneva.
Get the spark
Jay County and Blackford County 4-H will host the Science Spark Club beginning Monday at West Jay Community Center in Dunkirk.
The club for those in fourth through 12th grade will offer attendees opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts. Those will include coding, designing and engineering.
Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14, 21 and 28 at the community center, 125 Hoover St. A meal will be provided.
The fee is $5 for active 4-H members and $20 for non-members.

Blood drive
Roll up your sleeves.
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at Fort Recovery American Legion Hall, 2490 Ohio 49. Moeller Brew Barn in Maria Stein, Ohio, will give everyone who donates a token for a free beer at the business.
