Martha Brooks

Martha Ann (Sain) Caylor Brooks, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Inverness, Florida, on Jan. 10, 2019, after an extended illness.

Martha was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to the late Wade and Lucy (Wooten) Sain. She lived in Redkey, Indiana, until retiring from Kerr Glass of Dunkirk, Indiana, upon which time she relocated to Inverness, Florida.

She is survived by a brother, Robert “Bob” Saine of Muncie; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Dora Rivers and Gladys Sain; and her beloved friend and caregiver May Hughes of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Wayne, Caylor; her husband, Darrell Brooks; a sister, Irene Brown; brothers Elmer Sain, Buford Sain, A.J. Sain and Wade Sain Jr.

Friends may call at MJS Mortuaries, 107 S. Meridian St., Redkey, Indiana, on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held following visitation at 2 p.m. with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, Indiana.
