Jim Wells

James E. "Jim" Wells, 58, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at his Gas City home surrounded by his loved ones.

James E. "Jim" Wells was born in Marion, Indiana, on April 12, 1960, son of Lowell Wells and Phyllis Wells-Baird. Jim graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1978 and had an associate's degree in machine tool technologies.

Jim retired in 2018 from Ardagh Glass Group in Marion where he was a machine repairman. He held a journeyman card as both a tool and die maker and a machine repairer.

Jim was an avid bass fisherman and an Indiana University fan, and enjoyed playing shuffle board as well as hanging out with his four legged buddy, Ruby.

Jim will be missed by his wife, Theresa Wells. They were married on Oct. 10, 2010, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Also surviving are his mother, Phyllis Wells-Baird; children James (Kristie) Wells, Kyle (Rachel) Wells and step-daughter Kristy (Will) Fix; sisters Gina (Tim) Moorman and Renee (Randy) Bowser; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and 13 grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Lowell Wells and step-father Jack Baird.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hontz Hall, 307 W. S. "H" Street, Gas City, Indiana.
