Doyle Williams, age 88, of rural Portland passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Waynedale, Indiana, on July 11, 1930, the son of Howard and Ettie (Ashley) Williams. He was married April 25, 1952, to Norma Bryan and she passed away Aug. 17, 2013. He was retired from Teledyne Portland Forge and was a farmer.
Surviving is a daughter, LaDonna Sain (husband: Darren) of Portland.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan E. Williams on March 6, 2005. Also preceding him in death were six brothers, Richard Williams, Vernie Williams, William Williams, Ned Williams, Roger Williams and Melvin Williams; and two sisters, Ioma Rathburn and Laura Glenn.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland. Private burial services will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville.
Memorials can be made to the Fred Lingo Scholarship Fund.
