Janni Wilson

Janni (Jan) Wilson, age 73, a resident of Portland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center.

She worked at the Jayland Workshop and Standard Brush and Broom in Portland for more than 20 years.  

Jan was born Jan. 8, 1946, in Mountain View, Arkansas, the daughter of Luster R. and Clessie E. (Broyles) Wilson.  

Survivors include:

Two brothers — Lavon Wilson (wife: Patti), rural Portland, Indiana, and Garry Wilson (wife: Lory), Decatur, Indiana

Two sisters — Kathy Rowles (husband: Donald), rural Portland, Indiana, and Betty Liechty (husband: Gregg), Berne, Indiana

Four nephews and four nieces and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery west of Portland.

Memorials may be directed to the Persimmon Ridge Activity Fund.
