COLDWATER — The weather may have been frigid, but the Cavaliers got off to a hot start on Monday.

The Indians weren’t able to follow suit.

Fort Recovery High School’s freshman boys basketball team fell to the Coldwater Cavaliers on Monday, 54-33.

Coldwater had a 17-11 lead after the first quarter turn into a 30-22 advantage at halftime. The deficit for the Indians ballooned to 42-28 with one quarter to play.

Caleb Evers led Fort Recovery with eight points, while Kenny Jutte and Logan Homan contributed seven points apiece.

Owen Jutte chipped in five points.



FR sweeps ’Dogs

FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams both defeated the Celina Bulldogs on Monday.

The eighth graders got a 48-13 win while the seventh graders edged the Bulldogs, 24-22.

Cale Rammel’s 16 points paced the FRMS eighth graders. Ross Pearson followed with eight points as Landon Post and Daniel Patch added six points each.

Troy Homan tallied 13 points in the win for the Tribe seventh graders. Rex Leverette and Lyndon Brinkerhoff both tossed in four points.
