West Jay announces its honor roll

West Jay Middle School has announced its honor roll for the second nine weeks.

Sixth graders making the all-A honor roll were Hailey Ayala, Keira Corwin, Luke Fugiett, Jocelyn Haggard, Jade Nuckols, Jozey Shimp, Rylee Sollars, Zedrian Vazquez and Keegan Wasson.

Sixth graders on the A-B honor roll were Mattie Affolder, Emily Bell, Kristen Bromagem, Makenzie Cox, Nova Garringer, Ares Hambrock, Isaac Homan, Mason Johnson, Elayna Knipp, Kaylene Lykins, Drennen Phenis, Lucy Raines, Shane Schmidt, Peyton Shannon, Sophia Shumaker, Breanne Siegrist and  Heavyn Willoughby.

                                                   

Fun night set

Jay Community Center will host its annual Family Fun Night at 6 p.m. Saturday at the facility at 115 E. Water St., Portland.

The event will feature a comedy show as the main entertainment.  There will also be free pizza, and the concession stand will be open for other purchases.

Admission to Family Fun Night is free with a non-perishable food item as a donation.

Blood drive 

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Monday at Fort Recovery American Legion Hall, 2490 Ohio 49.
