Bertha Catherine Ineichen, age 93, of Fort Wayne, and a Jay County native, passed away Monday morning in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Jay County on March 8, 1925, the daughter of Virgil and Lola Iris (Dunmoyer) Johnson. She was married June 28, 1947, to Fred Ineichen and he died June 15, 1991.
She was a seamstress and homemaker and had worked at Jay Garment.
She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church and was a Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynn Ann Bercot of Fort Wayne; one son, Stanley Ineichen of White Lake, Wisconsin; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ineichen.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Center Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials can be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home or Cancer Services of Fort Wayne.
