Beatty to speak at Fort museum
Fort Recovery State Museum is offering an opportunity to learn more about local military history.
The museum will host Joe Beatty, who will present “Walk in Their Shoes, Die in Their Shoes” at 3 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 1 Fort Site St., Fort Recovery.
Beatty, a native of Darke County who now lives in Texas, is a descendent of officers who were involved in the Battle of the Wabash in 1791. He will speak about ancestors Capt. Erkuries Beatty and Ens. Samuel Beatty.

Activities set
Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie has a series of activities scheduled for July.
The facility will host its Bad Art Night at 6 p.m. July 11. Other activities scheduled for the month include Coffee & Paints at 10 a.m. July 13, a dance master class at 6:30 p.m. July 19 and monthly dance club with David Fennig of Portland at 7 p.m. July 20.

Fun with faeries
Minnetrista in Muncie will host “Faeries, Sprites & Lights” July 25 through 27. The event will include a variety of events, including faerie tea parties at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 27.
