Patty L. Conner, age 88, of Portland passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland.
She was born in Muncie on Dec. 23, 1930, the daughter of Carl and Ruth (Conrad) Mitchell. She was married July 22, 1950, to James Conner, and he died in 1998.
She was a day care worker and member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Portland Evening Optimists and Jay County Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a Muncie Central High School graduate.
Surviving are one son, Steve Conner of Farmland; one daughter, Cathy Horn of Winchester; five grandchildren, Krista McKinney, Rick Conner, Wade Moser, Jeremy Horn and Leslie Mathewson; several great-grandchildren; and several step-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Moser; and a grandson, Matthew Conner.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 12, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the Buena Vista Christian Church, 5434 W. 300 South, in Farmland with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary.
