Taking Note

Vacation Bible School is slated for next week.

First Church of Christ in Fort Recovery will host its Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through July 25 at Community Park.

Registration will begin at 6 p.m. Monday.

The Bible school’s theme this year is “Everyday Heroes.” There will be a special focus on emergency responders, police officers and firefighters.

A closing program is scheduled for Thursday at Ambassador Pool.

Series to begin

The 2019 Muncie Three Trails Music Series will kick off with a concert by Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper at 7 p.m. Saturday at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie. Bashville Boys of Muncie will open the show.

Cleveland is a fiddle player who earned a 2018 Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. He was also inducted into the National Fiddler Hall of Fame last year.
