Scholarships are open to those who are eligible for the National School Lunch Program. They are available for both group and private music lessons as well as visual arts classes.

Seeking nominees
The Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for its 2019 class.
In order to be eligible, a veteran must have either been born in Indiana, entered military service in Indiana or lived in Indiana for a minimum of eight years. All branches of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible.
Nomination packets are available at imvhof.com. The deadline is Aug. 1.
Holding drive
Dunkirk Police Department is collecting shoes for children in need.
Shoes can be donated now through Aug. 1 at the police department at 130 S. Main St., Dunkirk City Hall at 131 S. Main St. and CVS, 1130 S. Main St., Dunkirk.
Sizes needed included girls’ sizes 12, 12.5, 1, 2, 3 and 5 and boys’ sizes 1, 1.5, 3 and 4.
The shoes will be donated to school children in the Dunkirk area in need of footwear.
