Bernard to speak at FR museum
An Ohio historian will speak Sunday in Fort Recovery.
Allen Bernard will present “The Challenge of Interpreting and Explaining History for Future Generations” at 3 p.m. Sunday at Fort Recovery State Museum.
Bernard is a historical researcher, writer, architectural preservationist and interpreter of local history. A native of Mercer County, he now lives in Cincinnati.

Registration open
Cornerstone Center for the Arts is accepting registrations for its summer courses, which begin Monday.
Classes available include offerings in dance, acting, Zumba, drawing, ceramics, painting and sculpture for children, teens and adults. The facility also officers private music lessons as well as mini camps and a series of one-time workshops.
Financial aid is available.

Gathering set
The National Center for Great Lakes Native American Culture will hold its Gathering of Great Lakes Nations from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Tri-State Antique Gas Engine and Tractor Association Grounds.
The event will feature Native American drums, singers and dancers, food, vendors, free children’s activities and demonstrations. There will be a hand drum and flute contest at noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, and grand entries are scheduled for 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
Admission is $3 for those 12 and older, with a maximum of $12 per car. On-site camping is $10 per night.
