James Armstrong

James H. Armstrong, age 75, of Portland passed away Wednesday morning, June 26, 2019, in the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Farmers, Kentucky, on Nov. 1, 1943, the son of Ray and Ora (Ingram) Armstrong. He was married Jan. 21, 1965, to Brenda Brock, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was retired as a truck driver for Cheeseman's Trucking. He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are a nephew, Matt Armstrong (wife: Mindy) of Portland; a daughter, Misty Pace (husband: John) of Portland; one brother, Ralph Armstrong (wife: Candy) of Portland; one sister, Shirley Lewis of Portland; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 1, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Green Park Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the chapel.
