Diabetes support group available
Adams Memorial Hospital is offering a support group for those with diabetes.
The group will meet in the Berne Room at the hospital in Decatur from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
Group members will share their experiences in dealing with diabetes. There will also be a guest speaker.
Additional dates for the support group are June 11, Sept. 10 and Nov. 19.

Seeking nominees
The Portland Foundation is accepting nominees for its Jack Cole Award for Volunteerism.
The award was established more than two decades ago in order to honor Cole’s work as the foundation’s first executive director. Nominations should include a letter of recommendation as well as the nominees, name, address and a summary of his or her background. They can be sent to the foundation office at 107 S. Meridian St., Portland.
The deadline for nominations is March 21.

JCPL hosting
Jay County Public Library will host an afternoon at the movies at 3:30 p.m. Friday. The library will show the movie “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” there will be free popcorn available and activity bags will be handed out to children in attendance.
At 6 p.m. March 11, Cheri Brown of Jay County’s Purdue Extension office will host a seminar at JCPL about spring cleaning with non-toxic substances.
Registration set
Fort Recovery pre-school registration for the 2019-20 school year is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 26 in the elementary/middle school auditeria.
Those attending will need to bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security card. The child does not need to attend.
